About

We offer age-appropriate classes that introduce Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in an engaging way, emphasizing self-defense, discipline, confidence, respect, teamwork, focus, coordination, and personal growth. Classes are led by experienced black belt coaches (including Professor Gian, Troy Pitman, Lee Aguilera Martinez, and Frank Damasco as co-owners) who prioritize safe, technical training and mentorship both on and off the mats. Key age-group programs include: •  Squids (ages 3–5 or 3–4): Play-based introduction to fundamental movements, like safe takedowns (e.g., double-legs on padded dummies), self-defense basics, and fun drills. It’s designed to feel like play while building early skills and confidence. •  Other kids/children groups (typically 5–7, 8–12, up to 15): More structured technical training, no-gi sessions, and progression toward real BJJ skills. •  Tin Lids (example for older kids, e.g., 8–15): Focused on building resilience, healthy habits, and advanced concepts in a positive space. We run kids’ classes up to 6 days a week, including options like morning sessions (e.g., Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:30–8:15am for ages 5+), making it flexible for families. Special Offers: Free Trial Class Our biggest and most popular offer is a completely FREE trial class for kids. •  No experience required. •  We provide a trial gi (uniform) so you don’t need to buy anything upfront. •  It’s a no-obligation way to come in, meet the coaches, see the fun environment, and let your child try Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Book it easily online via our site: localszetland.com.au (look for the “Book a FREE Trial” button) or message us directly. Kids from age 3+ are welcome!
